27 and 28 September 2013
A beautiful drive from Great Falls to Missoula via IH 15 to Helena and Hwy 12 over MacDonald Pass to IH 90. Fortunately the roads over the pass were clear and only roadside snow. John got some great video with the webcam and I took some stills. It was a beautiful drive following the Missouri and views of the majestic mountains.

We opted to stay at Jim and Mary's RV park at exit 96 and meet our friends, Cliff and Jill whom we met at Fleetwood and again at St Ignace, MI. We had a nice visit and shared dinner and wine in the iHome. We are meeting them again when we go to San Diego in December and January. They promised us a ride on their sailboat. It is good to make new friends and keep in touch.

Would definitely recommend Jim and Mary's. Very nice spaces we were in E10, two down from our friends.
Tomorrow we go to Pasco with a stay at the KOA where we have stayed before.
28 September
After a drive in pouring rain and winds and a stop at Country Mercantile just north of Pasco on 395 for lunch and purchases,we arrived at KOA. This park is always full with many workers in the area due to boom in this tri city area.

Highly recommend stop at the Mercantile...lots of good food items and ice cream that is the best. Had coconut, almond and chocolate chip. Single scoop could feed 3. Also bought some dressing, marinade sauce, dips, burritos and enchiladas to take to Hope and family.

Our plan is to leave tomorrow for Hope and family, but high winds predicted for the gorge up to 60 mile gusts, so may have to delay until Monday. Anxious to see Hope,Shawn and grandsons after a year.
