After 1 night at the Willits KOA we decided to leave for Travis AFB as heavy rains predicted. Drive down 101 to Hwy 37 to IH80 was partly through the wine country. As we were driving noticed a motorhome in front that also had Retired AF sign so we surmised they were also going to Travis. We pulled into the FamCamp at same time. They are full timers from Montana.
Travis is home to a world class global mobility team and 2nd largest medical center in the Air Force. It is located 50 miles from San Francisco.
The camp is very nice and staff most helpful. Our site #38 overlooks the flight line. We will be here until the 25th when we leave for Vandenberg AFB until the 1st December.
We have a cute visitor..a rabbit. Not suppose to feed the wildlife, but I might be inclined to offer a carrot.
It is starting to rain.
