Arrival Henderson Harbor,NY

Our drive today took us up IH 89 in Vermont across Lake Champlain into New York and Hwy 11 passing many towns in New York. I must say the towns not  as charming and scenic as in Vermont.

Henderson Harbor sits on Lake Ontario near the 1000 Islands area and Canada. Our plan is to visit many  forts and sights;however, the 10 day forecast calls for rain, rain,rain.

We arrived at the Willows on the Lake Campground just off Hwy 3 around 15miles from IH 81 and the town of Watertown. The  owners, Chuck and Suzanne maintain a very clean,quiet and friendly campground. We chose this park over the KOA because of cost and size. Our site #21 has full hookups with a partial  view of Lake Ontario and is $500 for the 2 weeks.

If weather improves,we may rent kayaks. We are happy with our home for the next 2 weeks.
