Back at Nellis AFB

 Back at Nellis AFB Desert Eagle RV Park

Departed Desert Gold RV park in Brenda,AZ for 225 mile drive back to Nellis for appts and refills.Took the same route back. Boring drive,but best way to go. We will be returning in Oct,Nov and Dec.Several of our friends will be here instead of Nellis.

My eye appointment went well. Will need cataract surgery next year so we will be returning in March and April to Nellis. Did get new prescription for glasses.All in all we are doing quite well for almost 81 and soon to be 85.

Upon arrival we were assigned site 209 in new section. Not a bad site compared to others in this section. Only remaining friends, of our regular group still here, are Pat and Darwin and Terri and Bill. They, as of now, are not returning in the Fall. 

Aside from eating out, once at Applebee's and Red Robin with the 6 of us, we have not done too much. Did go shopping with Pat one day.

Pat had us along with Phyllis, campground host, and our friends Judy and Dusty who no longer Rv, but live in LV, over for a pot luck on the 24th. Last one of the season and maybe forever since many are not returning..instead going to other parks.

I turned 81 on the 25th and our LV friends, Rose Mary and Chuck, met us at Village Pub for lunch. We like this for the fried cod and sweet potato tots..delicious. As always we had a delightful visit and this time I remembered to take photo. Think our lunch turned into a 2 hour visit. See you in March. Take care.

Our plans are to be back in Oregon on the 9th May until the 13th June for a much anticipated visit with Hope, Shawn, Colt and Cade. Colt graduates HS in June. Cade got his drivers license in April.

On our way we will stop in Ely,Winnemucca and Burns. Not looking to filling 3 tanks of gas in motorhome at $5/gal. 

Friends Terri and Bill left on 2 May and we will reunite with them on Whidbey Island in August.

Well, we depart on 4 May leaving behind Pat and Darwin. They are anxious to depart as well.

Maybe we can visit them in Great Falls in July.
