Another cloudy and rainy day so we decided to visit the Creston Museum after a stop at Tim Horton's for coffee and donut.

Skimmerhorn known as the Creston Valley sits between the Selkirk and Purcell Mountains and on the Kootenay River/Lake. The rich soil of the valley was created 12,000 years ago by the glacier melt and populated by the Kutenai. Agriculture is the main industry with many orchards and farms.
As you walk the grounds, you can view an extensive collection of old farm, forestry and industrial equipment and machinery. Also a 1921 Model T Ford.

There is also a small trapper's cabin and schoolhouse dating to 1913.

Inside exhibits depict life in Creston and the Valley in the 1800 and 1900's. There is also a model railroad display.
