After much thinking and talking, we decided to skip Manitoba even though there were historic sites we wanted to see in the Winnipeg area. So today we are on our way to Regina SK, the capitol of Saskatchewan for 7 nights at Comfort Plus RV Park.

Then on to Maple Creek SK for 5 nights at Eagle Valley, Daisy Mae in Lethbridge AB for 5 nights, Kalispell,MT at Columbia Falls RV and Spokane for 2 nights before arriving Redmond OR on the 22nd.
Our drive today took us south on Hwy 11 190 miles through farming and ranching communities. Not much traffic and an easy drive.
On the way we dropped the Malibu off at Chevrolet for service and rented a car from Enterprise. The campground is around 10 miles east on Hwy 1 and 48. http://www.comfortpluscampground.ca Staff is friendly and campground is quiet. Our site #31 is $32CAD/nt with full hookups.
Regina is the 2nd largest city in Saskatchewan and the capitol. The city offers many different museums, sports arenas,restaurants and music festivals. While here we want to visit the RCMP Heritage Center. Regina was previously named Wascana (Buffalo Bones in Cree) due to the many bones found in the area. It was later named Regina in honor of Queen Victoria by her daughter Princess Louise in 1882. The city is surrounded by Lake Wascona. Due to a strong agricultural and mineral growth, the area has entered into a very strong economic boom.
Tomorrow we are going to visit Fort Qu'Appelle..a short drive up Hwy 10.
