Our drive today took us down IH 35 to Sanger,TX and 3 nights at Wagon Master RV Park. We stayed here is Sept 2019. A very nice park with Alpaca Farm. The park has many Osage Orange Trees that produces a yellow green fuit non edible. It is said that the fruit secretes a sticky white latex when cut and that the fruit deters insects and snakes. Deer like the seeds.

The laundry room is awesome as noted by photos. CC only $2/load. Wish all campgrounds had such nice laundry rooms.
After settling in Granddaughter, Parker came to park to take us to dinner at LSD in Denton. We met grandson Michael and enjoyed a delicious dinner and conversation. Parker attends North Texas State University. Michael attends NCTC and our last visit was in 2021.Parker is my son Eric's daughter and Michael is John's daughter Liz's son.
After dinner we walked over to the Courthouse and signage about Denton.
06 September
Parker and friend Sean and Michael picked us up for an outing to the Fort Worth Stockyards. Have not been there since the 70's. Quite an experience, lots of eateries,shops and venues. Our purpose was to see the daily parade of the Texas Longhorns who are led down what used to be the old Chisholm Trail.
Between 1866 and 1890, drovers trailed more than 4 million cattle through Fort Worth. fortworthstockyards .org has an interesting history.
The Fort Worth Herd is the world's only twice daily longhorn cattle drive held everyday.

We then had lunch at Riscky's Barbecue and walked around.

Thanks Parker for driving us around.When we got back to campground, we fed the Alpacas.
07 September
Tonight we met Parker and Michael at Babe's Chicken House in Sanger for their noted family style fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy, creamed corn, green beans and biscuits.Cherry Cobbler finished the dinner. They had not been here;however, when we were here in 2019 it was recommended by the campground so we had to return. So if you are ever in Sanger, do stop.
It was a great visit and enjoyed being with them. Leave on the 8th for San Antonio and more family and friends visits.
