A short 150 mile drive to Branson for a 3 night stay at ABC RV. The campground seems very nice and away from the hustle of Branson yet close enough for touring sights. They have nice store, pool, laundry and cabins. We were to stay 3 nights, but after watching weather decided to only stay 1 night and continue on to Searcy AR for maintenance on our windows.
Called RVFogDr to see if they could take us on Tuesday instead of Thursday and they were very accommodating so we packed up and drove the 150 miles via hwy 65. They have RV spots with FHU behind the office and on Tuesday we got the windows defogged. Fortunately they did not have to replace any and did a great job. Thank you all for your work. Very happy with the maintenance. Took about 8 hours for the work.
Called Tom Sawyer RV in West Memphis,AR to see if we could arrive today which they could. It was only a 100 mile drive.
Our site #42 is close to the laundry, which is free and overlooks the Mississippi. Behind us is a pond that our neighbor told us she saw some Moccasin snakes. Guess I won't be walking that way. Saw some barges on the river and even here keeping a close eye on weather..not so much the rain, but possible flooding.
Anyway it seems to be a nice campground with views and not too crowded now.
We are supposed to stay until the 12 September. John has long list of places to visit.
