All the family has been diligent in preparing for this week since April when the pigs were delivered. This is Colt's 4th year and Cade's 2nd in showing at the Fair. Their devotion and diligence sure paid off in that they won 1st place in their divisions and reserve in over all. The auction yesterday brought $10/lb for Cade and $8/lb for Colt. Hope made the pen plaques for 25 in their group. Shawn and Hope helped in preparing the pigs during the last few months, but the boys did the most part..bathing, feeding, walking and training. Great job family.

| Hope Made 25 of These |
This was the 2nd year for the judge who did a phenomenal job. Think he has been around pigs all his life and the education in how he judged each entry left me in awe. Never realized it was so complicated from the snout to the tail.Still don't have a complete understanding of the process.
The weather was in high 90's and even hit 100 a few days. The forest fires in Oregon added smoke to the sky giving an air quality warning. Looking forward to our few days at coast when temps will be in 60's.
Since we won't be here for Hope's 45th, we took the family out for dinner at Madeline's. Very nice restaurant with delicious food. Everyone got something different with leftovers for tomorrow.

When we got back, took the annual family photo and of course one of the grandsons by the Bounder. They have grown so much since we started Rv'ing in 2009.
