Friday John and I have our checkups at the Nellis Family Clinic on base. John's went well and a heart murmur was detected for me, so had an EKG and scheduled for cardio ultrasound and stress test. Anxious to get results which will probably take a week. Not too worried.
Saturday started out with a Dutch Oven Breakfast at Donna and Larry's for our group. Very good. Forgot to take pictures. Anyway the breakfast consisted of eggs, onion, peppers, sausage and cheese cooked in the Dutch Oven and certainly enjoyed. Last year Larry made a cherry cobbler in the Dutch Oven.
Later in the day we all gathered at Pat and Darwin's for cookout. We each brought our entree to grill and side dish.Lots of good eats. We brought bratwurst and I made a slaw recipe and cookies. The slaw had tomatoes, carrots, zucchini, and peppers diced with honey, dijon mustard.
On Sunday Larry and Donna left for a few days to go to Quartzsite, AZ to get solar panels installed on their massive 5th wheel. We all gathered to watch their departure...quite a site. They haul their smart car between the cab and 5th wheel. Can't imagine diving such a huge rig. By the way they are from Alaska, but will store it here for the summer and until their return.
Monday we went to dinner with Lorraine and Bill at Memphis Barbecue. John and I had the catfish..not as good as Lola's, but still tasty.
Wednesday we met Rose Mary and Chuck at Leticia's Mexican Cantina for lunch. This was our second visit with them over the past several years. A very good restaurant with nice atmosphere. As always, enjoy their company and conversation. We will get together again at Lola's on the 2nd for brunch.
Below are some interesting photos around the campground. Weather is windy..sure could use a nice rain to wash the pollen off the iHome.

We have decided to skip Alaska in 2018 and instead take the southern route to Florida and up the East Coast to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Feel this will be our last trip East. Maybe in 2019 we can do the Alaska trip.
John got all the repairs done..restringing one of the bedroom shades, new hose and connections for the leak, solving the problem of #2 A/C which turned out to be fuse. Thank goodness he is adept at fixing things.
We depart here on the 5th April for Oregon. Anxious to see Hope,Shawn and grandsons Colt and Cade. We will be there for Cade's 11th birthday and to see all the new calves. They are waiting for 6 to be born any day.
We have had a good visit here this year, but probably won't be back until 2019.
