Our drive on 2 December from Camp Pendleton to our home for the next month, Fiddler's Cove Naval Campground on Coronado, took only hour. This is our 3rd visit and enjoy the view of Coronado Bridge, Naval Ships across San Diego Bay and Navy Marina. Only thing missing is beach, but we are within 10 minutes of either Coronado Beach or our preferred, North Island Navy Base.

After settling in we touched base with our friends Jill and Cliff who are visiting the area and whom we met in 2013 at Fleetwood in Decatur IN. We met again in St Ignace, MI and Missoula MT. Last year they took us for a sail on their boat.It is nice to keep in touch. Last night they came to campground for libation and canapes and then to dinner at Pizza Village in Coronado. They now live in Lake Havasu.
