This morning I walked with my dear friend and walking partner from when we lived in Salem, Janet. We walked at Bush Park, one of our favorite parks besides Minto Brown. We used to walk 3 0r 4 times a week and she was my motivation. Looking forward to another walk on Monday morning. It is a mile and half around the park..lots of squirrels and a beautiful rose garden.
This evening we are going to good friends Carolyn and Don's 50th Anniversary celebration at Brooks Winery in Amity.

Don and Carolyn started the Vineyard in the 1970's and also had a winery,"Hidden Springs" .They sold the Vineyard to the Brooks Family. Below is a copy of the history. If you are ever in Salem, be sure and take the tour of the winery and taste their Rieslings and Pinots.It is a beautiful setting. Their youngest daughter,Heather and her family have a home next to the vineyard and tasting room.

Don and Carolyn have 3 beautiful daughters and 5 grandsons and 1 granddaughter. Two of the daughters live in Salem and 1 in Bend.A beautiful and blessed family in so many ways and very family involved in activities and lives of the family.

Although they no longer RV,they are the ones that got us interested. We first met them when we moved to Salem in 1990 from Texas when Carolyn and I worked for the same travel agency. She took us under her wing and we have been steadfast friends evermore.
The party was attended by at least 100 of family and friends. Photos of their life together shown on the TV screen and their wedding photo displayed by the guest sign in. Yes, they have and continue to have a good life.
