Today we drove around the Academy again for more pictures and a tour of the Chapel. We took the Chapel path down from the Visitor Center. Never tire of visiting the Chapel..find it so calming. The upper level is the Protestant nave and in the lower level are the Catholic,Jewish and Buddhist worship areas.

The Chapel affords a very nice view of the Cadet area. The Chapel was completed in 1962 and is the most popular man made attraction in Colorado with more than 1/2 million visitors each year. It soars more than 150 ft with 17 spires.

Near the Chapel between Harmon and Arnold Halls is the construction in progress of The Center for Character and Leadership Development. The skylight tower is angled so that it points toward the Polaris or North Star. The funding is through private donors and appropriated funds. Below the tower will be offices and classrooms consisting of state of the art, world class digital media equipment and technology.
